Unlocking Manifestation: Why You Need Power Not Positivity

Welcome to the first day of the Hold Your Frequency Challenge!


What frequency do you need?

Frequency is an emotional state. Everyone has a dominant frequency but we cycle in & out of that frequency throughout the day. This can really impact our perceived ability to manifest. If we feel “low vibe”, we believe it’s harder to get what we want. We can even beat ourselves up for not holding the right frequency. Let’s see if we can change that.


In manifestation circles, many think that a high vibration is about feeling positive, morally good and happy all the time. In my opinion, this is not the case. I’ve seen many “low vibe” people manifest amazing things consistently. I also think this thinking can lead to toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing, which is not good for anyone.


So what frequency do we actually need to maintain in order to manifest? The frequency of POWER.


This means that you want to feel like you are powerful, that you can get whatever you decide.


So you can feel sad about because you are experiencing a breakup, but that doesn’t need to mean you feel low vibe about manifesting a new job.


You know you are in the frequency of power when you are moving in action. Any emotion that leads or allows you to behave, ACT and take responsibility in the direction of what you want - is “high vibe”.


I want you to know that it’s really normal for your frequency to change all time. Life is always going to throw things at you that affect your emotional state. But this doesn’t need to stop you from manifesting. You just need to have a strong bounce back game and prepare in advance for these inevitable scenarios.


Pattern interrupts

As this is the first day, let me explain what a pattern interrupt is. These are simple techniques that are designed to stop a mild to moderate anxiety pattern dead.


Each time you stop the pattern of negativity (the downward spiral), you are re-wiring your brain. This is known as neuroplasticity.


These exercises come from the field of Hypnosis where I’ve been very privileged to learn under the renowned Melissa Tiers.

I have modified the techniques you will

come across in this challenge to manifestation, particularly in maintaining vibration.


Today’s pattern interrupt is called Bi-Lateral Stimulation

This technique involves stimulating both sides of the brain to stop anxiety. It is absurdly simple yet amazingly effective. Grab a ball (or water bottle, keys, anything you have on hand) and think of a thought that is causes you to “lose your frequency.”


When you can feel that negativity somewhere in your body, rate the level of it on a scale of one to ten.


Now pass the object back and forth, from one hand to the other, crossing the mid line of the body, so you are stimulating both hemispheres of the brain. Do this for a minute. Stop. Take a deep breath, and check in.


You might note that the negativity has dissipated. This is because by activating both hemispheres, you are spreading blood and electrical impulses which diffuses the negative feelings.


Journal & affirmation exercise

Finally, here is a journal prompt & affirmation I’d like you to use for each day of the challenge:


Prompt: In what way is the negative thought (that I am having about manifestation), untrue? Write down as many ways as possible.


Affirmation: “If I don’t have [X] yet, it must be on the way”


Summary: What to do today

  1. This week, focus in on ONE specific thing you are manifesting

  2. Practice Bi-Lateral Stimulation

  3. Journal on the prompt & say the daily affirmation
