Manifestation Has Limits - And That’s a Good Thing

Dear friends,
Are you getting tired of manifestation teachings?
I definitely was. Much of the teaching feels either over complicated or it feels dangerously incomplete. Incomplete teachings often mislead us and don’t create the results we are looking for.
I believe in the power of manifesting, the idea that you can create your reality. The idea that you have personal power and don’t just have to accept what life has handed you.
However it isn’t popular to say that manifestation has limits. And even though it’s not popular to say it, we all know deep down that it’s true. I don’t believe, as an example, that I can manifest myself into NASA or into the WNBA - even though I think I’m quite smart and I’m nearly 6 ft tall!
As I have been diving deeper into Yoruba spiritual philosophy, I have understood that the limits or rather the parameters of manifestation lie in our destiny. Our destiny is the multi layered soul plan that we made before we incarnated on Earth.
We created our soul plan and destiny to bring us a lot of joy and also to help us further develop our soul. Our soul or spirit is what endures with us beyond this lifetime. (I won’t go into the difference between soul and spirit here - I am using them interchangeably). We are all creating a unique soul that we want to be proud of. Our soul is our big project, our work of art.
So what does this mean in the context of manifesting?
Well firstly, it means that we already have everything we need to manifest within us. And this is something this should be encouraging to all of us.
Secondly, it means that there are certain things we are supposed to be manifesting, because they support our destiny. And other things - well we are just not. So for me, this means that I should stop trying to manifest my spot in the WNBA (And if you’ve seen my hand eye coordination in real life, you’ll understand why I’d need to give this up 🤣). It isn’t in my soul plan and it won’t make me happy. In fact, focusing on that goal or dream can radically derail me from my real destiny.
Unfortunately I see this happening to so many of us. Not everyone is meant to be a millionaire. Not everyone is meant to be a parent. Not everyone is meant to be a full time business owner or CEO. But this isn’t bad news at all. Society has told us that these are the only ways to be fulfilled and it isn’t true!
True fulfilment comes from alignment to your own unique purpose and destiny. It feels like a sigh of relief when you stop chasing things that aren’t meant for you. It’s a sigh of relief when you realise your path to abundance isn’t somewhere far away but is encoded in your spiritual DNA and in your natural gifts.
Your abundance is closer to you than your own breath.
If this has resonated with you, try this prayer and affirmation:
Spirit of my higher self, keep me aligned with my highest destiny and reveal to me my unique path to my abundance.
I hope this has encouraged you. I’d love to continue the conversation, so feel free to reply to this email with any questions, comments or feedback.
See you in the next one
